= Union Bell Baptist Church =

Mr. Speaker, I rise for the purpose of an introduction. today to recognize a pillar of faith and service in my district, Union Bell Baptist Church.

For generations, Union Bell has been more than just a place of worship; it has been a sanctuary for the weary, a pantry for the hungry, and a beacon of hope for our community. Their commitment to the spiritual and social fabric of our Commonwealth remains unwavering.

Mister Speaker, it is also my distinct honor to share that just last month, the Union Bell family gathered to celebrate a monumental milestone: the 24th Pastoral Anniversary of Pastor Clarence E Mays.

For nearly a quarter of a century, Pastor Mays has modeled the very definition of servant-leadership. Through seasons of challenge and seasons of triumph, they have provided a steady hand and a compassionate heart, not only to their congregation but to the entire community.

To lead a flock for 24 years is a testament to endurance, character, and a profound love for one’s neighbor. I ask that this body join me in congratulating Union Bell Baptist Church on its 103 years and its pastor on twenty-four years of faithful ministry, and in wishing them many more years of impactful service to the people of Virginia.

I would ask that we give them a warm House welcome.
